My first graft ended up being flatish.

Immediatly post graft it was fine, but a few weeks later when things started to settle down it was flatter than it should have been. However 12 months later when all the stitches were out it took on a less flat appearance. A few years later it was still flat, but my eye managed to comepnsate and I had about 6 years 6/6 vision without correction.

It is far from normal which is probably why the surgeon has commented on it, but it I'd like to think it is nothing to worry about and can be easily corrected with glasses or a lens.

Some forms of KC result in the cornea becoming flat instead of the normal bulge and these can be corrected with lenses.

Gareth2

I also suffer from the same thing post graft...I have an extremely flat cornea now...which I am told is good...as when the final sutures are taken out the chances of the cornea attemtping to reshape to a more "buldgier" shape increases.....so it may not be a bad thing.....
