I think you may be right there. My eyes were really light sensitive in the swimming pool but i think the chlorine made matters a lot worse.
This doesn't apply to my washing! it must just be that my whites are whiter than white

Thank you everyone for your handy tips.

I have invested in a pair of sunglasses. My vanity got the better of me, and I bought a huge pair of sun glasses....very blinging! I've been told at work that I'm looking like a celebrity! So I guess KC has an upside:) So you see Andrew, big sunglasses are very in!

I am still getting headaches but my eyes or should I say my brain seems to have adjusted a bit more. I've had my lenses for 2.5 weeks and I can wear them for about 11 hours at the moment. At first I found that when I put my lenses in, I could see so much detail, the pores in people's skin, each and every hair on their arms....it was quite a shock. I've now begun to get use to this.

I have also found that using eye drops has made a difference as I work in an air conditioned building, spend most of my day staring at a PC and I felt my eyes were drying up pretty quickly. I was recommended "Blink" eye drops but I have a feeling I will be getting through a box of them quite quickly!

I am still getting over the shock of being diagnosed with KC and coming to terms with what that means. I have to say, I really appreciate everyones support here....this really is a community of its own and I am a frequent visitor to this site.
Thank you
Mandy

Its all trial and error with KC and what ever suits your own personal set of issuies do it. if I could count the times someone has asked me why I have sunglasses on inside, I would surely be at a million by now. :D

Gareth is right. You just have to think first about your sight and then worry about what other people will think.

Better to look celebrity rather than Maffia :D

Think at the Confrence last year it was more the Mafia look. :D
