I know some with scleral lenses have a basic scleral lens with no power correction because when that is added they get ghosting. This was overcome by wearing glasses in addition to the sclerals mor like how they were tested in the hospital.

Rosemary,

I was a bit ambiguous in my description: The scleral lens was one from the fitting set and the lens power was through those glasses where they can slide in different lenses.

From the comments of the lens fitter I gathered that it would require a different lens power for different parts of the cornea-tear film-lens surface. I guess I just have to wait and see what they find out at the next appointment.

Martin
